Safeguarding Policy

Every young person in our care is safe. Full stop.

Aristocrats Alliance works with children and young people across Ghana. We take that responsibility seriously. This page explains our safeguarding standards, how we vet our instructors, and what to do if you have a concern.

Our commitment to safety

We work with students in schools, at outdoor events, and in community settings. Every person who represents Aristocrats Alliance — whether an instructor, volunteer, or staff member — is held to the same standard.

Background Checks

Every instructor goes through a thorough background check before they are certified and deployed into any school. No exceptions. BGC status is tracked and renewed on a regular schedule.

Supervised Deployments

All instructor deployments are logged, monitored, and signed off by the school. Sessions are tracked through our platform. Schools can raise concerns at any time through their portal.

Confidential Reporting

Anyone — a student, parent, teacher, or community member — can report a concern. All reports are treated with strict confidentiality and reviewed within 12 hours.

How we vet our instructors

Schools and parents deserve to know exactly how we screen the people we send into classrooms. Here is the process every instructor goes through before they are certified.

01

Application & Identity Verification

Every applicant submits a government-issued ID and professional credentials. We verify identity before the process goes any further.

02

Background Check (BGC)

A full criminal background check is conducted on every instructor candidate. Candidates with any history of harm to children or young people are immediately disqualified.

03

Certification Training

Candidates attend the Aristocrats Alliance Instructor Course, which includes safeguarding training, code of conduct, and professional standards.

04

Ongoing Monitoring

Certified instructors are monitored through our platform. Sessions are logged and signed off by schools. BGC status is reviewed on a regular schedule. Any concern raised triggers an immediate review.

Code of conduct

All Aristocrats Alliance instructors, volunteers, and staff are bound by our code of conduct. Key principles include:

Never be alone with a student in a private or unsupervised setting.

Never use physical punishment or any form of physical discipline.

Never share personal contact details with students outside of official channels.

Always report any concern about a student's welfare immediately.

Treat every student with dignity and respect, regardless of background.

Maintain professional boundaries at all times — in person and online.

Never photograph or record students without explicit school and parental consent.

Uphold the reputation of Aristocrats Alliance in all conduct.

How to report a concern
